It's Christmas!

Aftet all this time my muse came to pay me a short visit and encouraged me to make this Xmas configuration box using various bits that I had accumulated. I have taken 3 pics..
1 st one is with no lights, 2nd has side and top lights and the third has all lights on.
Am not sure that I am 100% happy with it.... might have to take the front off and re-arrange.
Any comments gratefully received....

Early Halloween

Saw this fantastic stamp by Stampotique on the "Stamp Attic" site
and just had to have it!

Hope you like what I did with it..............
just to be different I added an albino spider!

Gone Fishing.....

Thi tag was inspired by some prints in a local
pub/restaurant that we enjoy going to...
The Fishery Inn at Elstree...
there was a set of prints on the wall,

this was a take on them....

Background was distress inks in old paper and
antique linen
stamp (TH utimate grunge) in frayed burlap
and the fish from paperartsy hotpicks HP1201
embossed in white.
the feathers were from my odds & sods box tied together
with embroidery silk and held with a white fastenator.

Might make another one or two with different fish....
wait and see

My Muse has come back!!!

After nearly two months, my muse is back....
don't know how long flor bu am going to create
while I can.....
Have made 3 ATC's and 2 tags...................

I think I like Tag 2 the best...any Comments?

painted,crackled and dyed fabric

Credit where credit is due.......I had a peep at Lin Browns blog
(http://yoursartfully.blogspot.co.uk/) when I spotted something new
she had been trying,so had to have a go myself!!
she had painted fabric with fresco paints,covered with fresco
crackle then another coat (different colour) of fresco paint
so thats what I did...............
I added some lace dyed with TH stain in old paper and
some little buttons sewed onto the bottom.To maintain the
colour scheme I stained a TH rose with the old paper and added to
the top along with a metal leaf and two pearls

I think it worked out quite well!
ps the stamps were Indigo Blu lady and BLine tape measure

A little bit of shabby

Had some corrugated  cardboard (from an old box) so..
tore of part of the top layer and painted with white acrylic
stuck some TH tissue paper onto grungeboard
then cut out a bird. cut out  TH flourish from some more
grungeboard and shattered stained it in various shades
of pink. Stained some crinkle ribbon in the same colours
added a crown and a wordstick...and there you have it..

a litt;e bit of shabby!
Oh yes, also made a rose from pink mulberry
paper as a finasl embellishment

though I would see how the TH texture fade would go with some texture paints

My own private little wilderness

Had a lot of fun making the faux porcelain flowers and leaves
for this. Plus shattered stains for the fence and birds

no theme,just all different........

June butterflies

thought that I would have a play with  "perfect splatter distress"
today....for some reason I thought that a combination of
spun sugar,worn lipstick and tattered rose distress inks
together with perfect pearl and berry twist perfect pearls
would look rather good........add a rosebud stamp some words
fram a darkroom door "art de fleur" set plus of course a couple of
butterflies coloured with matching distress markers.....

and there you have it!

Flutterby Butterfly

Obviously sitting by the water must have woken my muse

because last night I was inspired to make this....
the background is a splattered distress ink ,the butterflies were coloured using
the new squeezed lemonade and tea dye distress pads with a waterbrush.

lazy Wednesday afternoon

We decided to treat ourselves to a nice pub lunch before the weather broke...
so we found our way here...the "Coy Carp" on the canal at Harefield
nice light lunch and peaceful watching the Cananda geese and their goslings

A bit of this, a bit of that...

My muse gave me a bit of a nudge today.....

a secret garden with faux porcelain flowers
tissue,and some shattered stains......
so out came the meltpot,the rock candy
crackle and tissue ,of course the trusty
stains and DT pads, plus glue gun...
and this is what ended up

My take on Tims May Tag

Thanks to James and Sharon of Artist Trading Post
who got my new meltpot to me so quickly,I was able
to squeeze in a little time this afternoon the have a go
at my take on Tim's May Tag.........definitely my interpretation!
